Citizen Corps Service Opportunity Feb. 22

The purpose of this organization is to recognize those students who demonstrate:

·        Academic Achievement

·        Citizenship

·        Leadership

·        Character

·        Service to the Community

Eligibility to gain membership into National Junior Honor Society requires students to have a cumulative GPA of 3.7 or higher, starting after the first trimester of their 8^th grade year.

Maintaining membership in National Junior Honor Society requires that students complete a minimum of 6 hours of community service, have a 3.7 GPA, and continue to demonstrate the traits listed above.

Meetings will occur in the Commons from 2:15 – 3:45 on the following dates: Feb. 4, Mar. 3, Mar. 31, Apr, 21, May 19 – Induction Ceremony

During meetings we will elect officers, plan and complete community service projects and plan the final ceremony. Students will be making decisions about what projects to undertake, so I don’t have specific details about meetings at this time. I hope this is helpful.
