Approval of Minutes

The minutes from the School Council Meeting on 2/28/02 were approved with one correction.  The BLC will be moved to room 801.

Parent/Community Comments

None

Old Business

Ron Thiele has collected data from teachers on group projects and will begin reviewing the data.

New Business

Fifth Grade Orientation and Curriculum Night is scheduled for Thursday, April 25.  It is a very important evening and he will be contacting the sixth grade teachers and some elective teachers about attending.  It was agreed to change the evening for next year to a Tuesday evening instead of a Thursday evening to avoid any conflict with Track Meets.

 

The School Council Meeting Dates for 2002-03 (4th Thursdays at 2:45) 9/26, 10/24, 11/21 (3rd), 12/19 (3rd), 1/23, 2/27, 3/27, 4/24, 5/22 were approved with the knowledge that dates and times may change if evening meetings or early morning meetings are added per the School Council Committee.  

ASB Report

Ann Perkins reminded staff that Activity Day is April 24 and that is a Wednesday in the middle of the first week of WASL Testing.

Margie Rehn reported that the 7th Grade Students had a great field trip to the Village Theatre to see the production of “Making Tracks.”
