Minutes from the April 24 School Council Meeting were
approved as corrected. The ASB report is
changed to read “Middle School Principals are proposing cuts from the General
Fund and will be asking ASB to restore the funding. In the “Other” section the words “3 club
stipends” will be changed to read “stipends.”

Ron reported that the staff voted to
remove caffeinated, carbonated beverages from the student vending machines
starting in September.
Ron also reported that students will
be voting on two different PE uniform logo designs. They are displayed in the gallery. PE uniforms will be $20.00 for the shirt and
shorts and will be available for purchase at pre-registration.

It was proposed that with the new
Bell Times for next year, School Council Meetings begin at
The By-Laws were reviewed and
changed as follows: Article V Section 4 the words “they will lose” will be
changed to “they may lose.” Article VII Section 6. will be
added: Gatekeeper A Council member will be selected at the
previous meeting to be responsible for soliciting length of time required by
speakers for agenda items prior to commencement of the meeting, monitoring time
during meeting, and notifying the Chairperson of exceeding of time limits. Section 6. All
Council Members will be changed to Section 7.
Article VIII Section 5. will
be added and will read A Gatekeeper will monitor duration of discussion on
agenda items as per time limits assigned prior to the start of the
meeting. A Gatekeeper will be selected
for the next meeting.
Ron reported that a District
Advisory Team is being put together.
This team will be made up of community members, teachers,
administrators, etc. Parent volunteers
from the school are needed. It will be a
two-year commitment. Notify Ron or
Sandie if you are interested in serving on this team.

graders are completing their community service projects and are putting
together scrapbooks, which will be displayed at the last Chorus Concert on June
12.

June 6 and promotion is June 23.
