Accelerated Reader (AR) is a computer-administered program designed
to increase reading for pleasure. Participants read a book and then take a quiz, earning
points that they can turn in for prizes. We have over 3600 AR books in the IMS
library;
most are fiction, but many are biographies and other non-fiction titles. In
addition to our collection, the Issaquah and Newport Way branches of the King County Library
System are working with
us to provide access to the AR books in their collection.
