The Issaquah Middle School's governing body consists of 6 student-elected officers, as well as 10-20 appointed sound tech officers. ASB elections take place in May, these elections are for the positions of ASB President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and two 7th grade representatives. Sound Tech Officers are appointed by Mr. Dorsett, teacher referrals and interviews are required. Each ASB position needs someone who is a strong leader, a hard worker, and a person who truly cares about our school. We encourage all students to get involved, take a risk and participate in IMS student government! You can make a difference at Issaquah Middle School!
*All ASB
officers are required to be in the Leadership/Media Production class
elective. They will be in the course for the full year. All officers
must ALSO become WEB Leaders—you must be able to attend the WEB Leader
Training and WEB orientation, NO EXCEPTIONS. All officers must
demonstrate strong leadership skills, promote a positive attitude, a
willingness to work hard, cooperate, and be committed to making IMS the
best school ever!
